How to play Moonveil Village

  1. All Roles is the default game type: every role in the catalog is available immediately. The server draws unique special roles at game start, with Wolves and one Villager guaranteed. The wolf count adjusts to player count. Only dealt players see their roles; the selected subset stays secret. Other game types draw from themed pools. Choosing a game type requires no individual role selection. Fixed classic mixes and manual selection remain available.
  2. The host may add unique advanced village roles from the 250-role catalog. Each advanced role combines two abilities: choose one per night or rest. Limited uses are spent even if blocked. All effects resolve from the night-start snapshot, including abilities of players eliminated that night. Blocks resolve first, then disguises and other abilities, then wolf attacks. Information describes submitted visits even when blocked. Hush overrides vote boosts; boosts do not stack. Multiple escorts sacrifice the earliest escort in player-list order. A pardon prevents banishment without selecting another victim. Vote majority uses total living vote weight; zero total weight banishes nobody.
  3. The host chooses 1–49 Wolves and whether to include one Seer and one Guardian. Remaining seats are Villagers. Wolves must be fewer than half the players, with at least one Villager. Roles are shuffled and delivered privately, including to the host.
  4. At night, every living player submits once on their phone. Wolves choose a non-wolf victim, the Seer inspects someone else, the Guardian protects a player, and Villagers press Ready. Wolves know their teammates. Submitted actions remain hidden.
  5. The host resolves the night after everyone submits. Wolves attack their most-chosen target; tied targets are chosen randomly. Protection prevents that elimination. The Seer receives a private Wolf / not-Wolf result even if eliminated that night. Guardians cannot protect the same player two nights in a row.
  6. Discuss during the day. The host opens voting; living players secretly choose another living player or abstain. When all have voted, the host reveals ballots. A strict majority of the total living vote weight is needed to banish someone (normally one per player). Otherwise nobody is banished.
  7. Eliminated players reveal their role and stop taking actions. They may watch, but should not advise living players. The host keeps controls even if eliminated. The host sees no other private role or night target.
  8. The village wins when no wolves remain. Wolves win when they equal or outnumber other living players. After day 20 with no winner, the game is a draw. Team victories include eliminated members.
  9. Host controls advance phases. Closing an incomplete night or vote requires the host’s explicit override: missing night actions do nothing and missing votes abstain. This is logged publicly. Bots act without AI and use only their role, legitimate teammate knowledge and private inspection results.
