How to play Museum of Maybe

  1. These are fictional exhibits, not factual trivia. Six different exhibits are randomly selected from 24. Read the object’s title and description on the TV or phone, then privately invent a label of 1–180 characters.
  2. When everyone has submitted, the host opens voting. Your labels are shuffled with the curator’s original label and two museum decoys. Matching labels merge into one entry. Choose the curator’s label; you cannot vote for a label you wrote.
  3. Once everyone votes, the host reveals authors and points. Finding the curator’s label earns 200 points. Each vote fooled by your invented label earns you 100 points. If several people wrote the same label, each receives those points. Unclaimed museum decoys earn nobody points.
  4. If you independently wrote the curator’s exact label, you receive 200 points at the reveal and cannot vote for that label. All submissions and votes lock; only the host advances. Highest score after six exhibits wins, with tied leaders sharing the win.
  5. Computer players use authored decoy labels and random legal votes without AI or access to the hidden correct entry. Use a shared TV and scan its QR code to join on phones. On paper, one non-playing curator uses the separate answer key and shuffles anonymous labels.

Bring your group together

Open a table, invite your friends, then start when everyone is ready. The host can add available computer players before starting. For a living-room game, open the TV screen from your table while everyone plays on their own device.
